Time: 8:00 AM
(Rain Date: Sunday, May 20th, 12:30pm -Call Dorothy – 630-638-2475)
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: The City of Geneva will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of City Hall on May 19th between 9AM and 12PM. Gardens around City Hall will be on another planting schedule because of the Centennial. Please contact your garden captain for details if your garden is within the City Hall block unless you have received your instructions already.
GARDEN ADOPTEES:
Meet at your adopted garden. Although we try and contact everyone, we still ask that you call your group members to make certain they know about the date. Each area should have a set of instructions, which we ask that you read before planting the summer flowers.
NOT ASSIGNED TO A GARDEN:
Come out and join us. For those of you not in a designated group or not part of an adopted area, we always have beds that need help. Come by the Geneva Post Office, Third & James and someone from our group will be happy to direct you to an area. Bring a Neighbor, Friend or Family Member! Bring your garden tools including a broom.
GARDEN SPONSORSHIP
Don’t have time to adopt a garden or help plant? Now you can sponsor a garden honoring a birthday, anniversary, say a thank you or in memory of a loved one. Your sponsorship helps offset the cost of flowers for the garden. Each garden is adopted annually by a group or individual and will be planted and maintained during the year on your behalf. A sign acknowledging your sponsorship will be placed in a garden. We welcome businesses to sponsor. Contact us for details or click here for more information on sponsorships.
